Kevin “Fish” Fischer, Senior Pastor
Fish moved to Miami from his family’s farm in Green Bay,
Wisconsin, in 1985, began attending the Vineyard in 1986
and became Senior Pastor in 1993. He and his wife Deb have
five kids ages 9 through 17. Kevin loves all kinds of sports,
but especially golf, and he is a die-hard cheese head
(that’s a Green Bay Packer Fan, in case you didn’t know).
His biggest weakness is ice cream and his favorite
expression is “Hello?!?”
Bill Carp, Associate/Administrative Pastor
Bill's addiction to Cuban coffee has allowed him to leave
South Florida only a handful of times (once to study at
Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky). Today
he lives with his wife Cristina, three kids and two dogs
only a short distance from the best cafecito in Miami.
When Bill is not making small groups happen at the
Vineyard or sitting in the dunk tank at one of our many
festivals or picnics, he loves fishing, golfing, drinking
Cuban Coffee (did I say that already) and watching
The Lord of the Rings. Oh, yeah and don't let the name
fool you - Bill is half-Cuban on his mother's side and
was born and raised in Miami.
Nik Korba, Pastor of Fun
Nik left Connellsville, Pennsylvania, in 1990 to attend the
University of Miami, found his wife Marie and the Vineyard
(in that order), and knew there was no going back. As Pastor
of Fun, Nik is responsible for making sure the Vineyard’s
Weekend Services bring a smile to everyone’s face. His
biggest weakness is Publix cake and his favorite
expression is “Wow!”
Jorge Respeto, Worship Pastor
It wasn't long after departing Cuba and arriving in South
Florida that Jorge, at the tender age of one, discovered his
talent for music. Since then he hasn't missed many
opportunities to strum a six string or slap a bass. At one
time he even traveled around with Johnny Depp's band -
The Kids. After a short stint in New York and a little longer
stint in California, Jorge landed in Miami where he
lives today with his wife Marily, their son Nathaniel,
two dogs, a cat and a bunch of ducks and geese. If he's
not carrying a guitar case, he's probably carrying a lunchbag
filled with bananas, pears and other healthy fruit. His favorite
expression is "BRILLIANT!"
Pam Flores , Volunteer Coordinator and Children's Church Pastor
Pam came to Miami from Bronx, New York, at the tender age
of three. Her Dad invited her to the Miami Vineyard in 1999
and after a few visits she was hooked. Pam and her husband
Mike were married at the Vineyard and six month's later she
became the Vineyard Children's Church Director. Now she
serves with the kids and coordinates the hundreds of people
who are Vineyard Volunteers. And when she's not at the
Vineyard you can find her raising her four boys, cheering
fo the Miami Dolphins, or eating sushi.
Abdy Sellas, Outreach Pastor
Abdy is a Puerto Rican by blood, New Yorker by birth, and Miamian
in his heart. Keep your eyes open as you’re out and about and you
might see Abdy and his crew handing out FREE Pepsi, pumping
FREE gas, flipping burgers on a street corner in downtown Miami,
or showing God’s love to the people of Miami in some other wacky way.
And when he’s not doing that he’s running the streets of Miami as he
trains for his next marathon, sitting in Porky’s Gym thinking about
working out, or sitting at home with Lucy, his bonsai plant, watching
Braveheart, a Mets game, or Grey’s Anatomy.
David Augustin, Pastor of Adult/Family Ministries
David was born in Nassau, Bahamas, but grew up in Miami,
Florida, the oldest brother in a family of seven kids. From
1995 to 2003 David worked with youth and kids in New York,
Miami and other cities as a member of Youth With A Mission.
David met his wife Maren, who is originally from Germany,
while working with youth in Los Angeles in 1995. They were
married in 2000. In addition to sports, Delirious and BBJ,
David has a passion to share God’s love with the youth of Miami.
